Tower Sealants Enters into a Licensing Agreement with DuPont Building Innovations for a new Line of Premium Caulk Products August 16th, 2007

ORLANDO, Fla. 2007: Manufactured and marketed by Tower Sealants through a strategic agreement with DuPont Building Innovations, a line of new DuPont Caulk products will be introduced at the 2007 National Hardware Show. The full line of premium caulks will be launched into both retail and professional channels.

According to Lynne Chappel, Manager, DuPont Consumer Products, "This alliance successfully demonstrates how innovation can be created in a category by combining DuPont's technological expertise and brand equity with Tower Sealant's state-of-the-art manufacturing and R&D capabilities. Tower Sealant's merchandising expertise will provide retailer partners with a total product solution".

Combining several DuPont patented technologies, DuPont™ Kevlar® brand fiber and Teflon®, the new DuPont caulk product line will provide increased strength and durability. The new line will include DuPont™ Interior Kitchen & Bath Caulk enhanced with DuPont™ Teflon® Surface Protection, DuPont™ Exterior Door, Window & Siding Caulk enhanced with DuPont™ Kevlar®, and DuPont™ Painters Caulk with Speed Dry™ technology. The line will also include two caulks for special projects, DuPont™ Masonry & Concrete Caulk enhanced with Kevlar®, and DuPont™ Driveway & Repair Caulk enhanced with Kevlar®.

According to Dale Tomazin, General Manager - Tower Sealants, "The addition of Teflon® to the DuPont™ Kitchen & Bath formula greatly improves the ability of the product to repel water and resist dirt and stains. It also significantly improves the ability of the product to rinse clean vs. traditional caulks."

"Formulated with Kevlar® brand fiber, the DuPont™ Exterior Doors, Window & Siding Caulk enhanced with Kevlar® product provides a benefit that consumers can readily associate with toughness and durability; as well as valuable energy-savings from improved weatherization," stated Tomazin.

DuPont™ Painters Speed Dry™ Caulk formulation helps prevent cracks, is paintable almost immediately after application and eliminates common shine-through problems associated with other caulks. It can be used for both interior and exterior applications.

DuPont™ Driveway & Repair Caulk enhanced with Kevlar® provides a tough multi-purpose black sealant that may be used for a variety of applications around the home including repairing asphalt driveway cracks, gutter repair and other trim areas where black sealants would normally be used. The product may be used interior or exterior and is applicable for use on windows, doors, siding and other trims of molding where a black sealant is desired.

DuPont™ Concrete Masonry made with Kevlar® is a tough long-lasting sealant for use with sidewalks, patios, concrete driveways, mortar and general household repair where a gray sealant is desired. The product is available for use interior or exterior and may be used around windows, doors, siding, and other trims and molding applications.

ALL OF THE PRODUCTS ARE VOC COMPLIANT, EASY TO USE AND SIMPLE TO CLEAN UP WITH SOAP & WATER. The products will be ready to ship by mid-summer. They will be distributed by both Tower Sealants and through an exclusive distribution arrangement with M-D Building Products.
