AU-1 LAB es una barrera impermeable y membrana de sellado (flashing) líquida elastomérica de alta rendimiento, monocomponente, de resina de estireno-butadieno (SBR). Esta barrera resistente a la intemperie (WRB) funciona tanto como membrana como sellador y está diseñada para proteger las estructuras contra la intrusión de humedad, fugas de aire y factores estresantes ambientales. Esta barrera impermeabilizante de bajo olor se puede aplicar mediante rociado, brocha, rodillo o llana, y no requiere imprimación. Está formulada para proporcionar un sello impermeable permanente y transpirable con excelente adherencia a la mayoría de los sustratos comunes, incluido el concreto verde. Sin necesidad de primer
No se necesita un primer para la mayoría de los sustratos comunes. AU-1 LAB se puede aplicar sobre concreto verde.

Aplicación: para uso como membrana impermeable líquida
Utilice una brocha, rodillo, pistola rociadora o llana para aplicar AU-1 LAB a un mínimo de 30 milésimas de espesor húmedo sobre el área deseada del
vano bruto incluyendo la superficie exterior. Para la aplicación con pulverizador sin aire (airless): un pulverizador de 1.15 a 2.5 GPM (galones por minuto)
se recomienda con un tamaño de orificio de boquilla de .021 - .025 a 3000 PSI. Para aplicación con rodillo, un pelo de alta calidad de ¾” como mínimo
se recomienda rodillo. Es posible que se requieran dos manos para lograr 30 mils húmedas. La aplicación debe realizarse de manera

Application: for use as a Weather Resistive Barrier (WRB)
Preparation:
For gaps smaller than ¼” no special prep work is needed to apply Laboratorio AU-1. Simply “flood coat” the gap liberally with Laboratorio AU-1 into and around the gap. Ensure even coverage with no pinholes.
Gap sized ¼” – ½” need to be filled with AU-1 Construction Sealant or mesh tape imbedded in Laboratorio AU-1.
OPTION 1 (RECOMMENDED):
Generously apply a large bead of AU-1 Construction Sealant into board seams and strike flush. Allow the sealant to become tack-free before applying Laboratorio AU-1.
OPTION 2:
Using a dry, clean joint knife or trowel apply Laboratorio AU-1 over all seams and corners. Imbed a compatible mesh tape securely in the Laboratorio AU-1. Trowel Laboratorio AU-1 over the mesh tape, ensuring that the Laboratorio AU-1 extends a minimum of 1” beyond the edge of the seam. Ensure an even coat with no pinholes. Allow product to become tack-free before applying Laboratorio AU-1 across entire exterior surface. See diagram below.
For gaps larger than ½” consult local sales rep. Sheathing fasteners should be flush with the surface.
Application:
Once all seams and rough openings have been properly prepared as described above, use a brush, roller, or airless sprayer to apply Laboratorio AU-1 to a minimum of 30 wet mils over the exterior surface. Use a wet mil gauge to ensure minimum of 30 wet mils is achieved.
Airless Spray (Recommended)
A 1.15 – 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute) sprayer is recommended with a tip orifice size of .021 - .025 at 3000 PSI. Product should be applied in a vertical and horizontal cross-hatch pattern in one pass to build a minimum of 30 wet mils. Product may be applied up to 60 wet mils without sagging. Use a wet mil gauge to ensure proper mill thickness. Inspect coating to ensure a uniform, pinhole free membrane. Touch up pinholes or gaps in membrane with a chip brush as needed. Allow product to become tack-free before installing cladding or any components into rough openings. Tack-free times may vary by humidity and conditions. Check local building codes for additional recommendations or requirements.
Roller Application
A minimum ¾” nap high-quality roller is recommended. Two coats will be required to achieve 30 wet mils. Application should be performed in a manner ensuring the membrane surface is free of any openings or pinholes. Allow the product to become tack-free before applying second coat. Allow final coat to become tack-free before installing cladding or any components into rough openings. Tack-free times may vary by humidity and conditions. Check local building codes for additional recommendations or requirements.
Post-Application
Laboratorio AU-1 should be covered within 6 months after application to prevent possible UV damage. Install proper cladding as required by manufacturer instructions. Laboratorio AU-1 is self-sealing and does not require additional sealing around properly installed cladding fasteners.
Ensure exterior walls are capped or protected to prevent moisture intrusion. Ensure barrier is integrated with roofing system where wall meets roof / soffit, etc. Ensure barrier is integrated with other building wrap / waterproofing systems per manufacturer's instructions.

Limpiar
Immediately after use, clean uncured material and tools with soap and water. Remove cured membrane by cutting with a sharp-edged tool.
Limitaciones
Only apply AU-1 Liquid-Applied Flashing when product, surface, and air temperatures are above 40° F and rising. Do not apply on surfaces exceeding 160° F. Do not apply to frozen substrates, prior to extreme weather, or before heavy rain. AU-1 Liquid-Applied Flashing is not for use in below-grade applications, or in areas where frequent water ponding may occur. Product is not intended for use on surfaces where it will be permanently exposed.
Storage
AU-1 Liquid-Applied Flashing should be stored in original, unopened containers, away from heat and direct sunlight. Product should be kept from freezing. When stored correctly, product will have a shelf life of 18 months.

TOWER Sealants warrants this product to be free from manufacturing defects. The installer is responsible for the testing of this product on the surfaces of the targeted application for compatibility and performance prior to use. This is the sole and exclusive remedy and liability for defects or failure of this product.
