Concrete Repair Frequently Asked Questions
What size cracks can Concrete Repair handle?
Non-structural cracks and gaps from 1/8" to 1" wide. Use a foam backer rod for joints that exceed 1/2" in depth.
What surfaces is Concrete Repair designed for?
It's built for horizontal surfaces — driveways, sidewalks, garage floors, patios, and stairs — where it can be tooled and textured to blend into the surrounding area.
How long before I can paint over Concrete Repair?
Allow 4 to 6 hours before painting.
How long until it's fully cured, and when can I put traffic on it?
It skins over in about 1 hour. The spec sheet lists full cure at 5 to 10 days, though the application notes separately say it can take 1 to 2 weeks depending on temperature and humidity. Keep foot and vehicle traffic off for at least 24 hours — longer if it's cool or humid.
What color is Concrete Repair, and will the patch be noticeable?
It's Gray and textured, so it can be tooled to match the profile of the surrounding concrete, brick, or stone and blend the repair in.
What temperature can Concrete Repair be applied in?
Apply when sealant, surface, and air temperature are above 40°F and rising, with air no hotter than 95°F and substrate no hotter than 140°F. Once cured, it holds up across a -30°F to 180°F service temperature range.
What substrates does Concrete Repair work on?
Masonry, ceramic tile, stone, concrete, brick, and cement.
Can Concrete Repair be used in submerged areas?
No — it's not intended for areas that will be submerged in water, and it should be kept from freezing. Always test for substrate compatibility before full application.
Does Concrete Repair come with a guarantee?
Yes. If the product ever cracks, peels, or separates after proper storage and application, Tower Sealants will replace it when the purchaser returns proof of purchase. Unlike some other Tower Sealants products, this TDS doesn't state a specific number of years for the guarantee.
